1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Phantom Data LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Phantom Data,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit phantomdata.io, create an account, or use our data services (together, the “Service”). 2. Information we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, password (stored hashed), and the versions of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy you accepted, with the time and IP address of acceptance.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive the card brand, last four digits, expiry, and transaction records. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Order and upload data. The search filters, quantities, scrub elections, and any files you upload for skip tracing or list cleaning, along with the results we deliver to you.
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, actions taken in the app, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and standard server logs, collected through product analytics and, on advertising landing pages, advertising pixels.
- Support communications. Messages you send us by email, support ticket, or text message.
3. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and deliver the data products you order.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and keep records required by law.
- To keep an audit trail of your Terms acceptance and scrub elections for compliance.
- To send transactional messages (order status, receipts, security notices).
- To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- To measure advertising on landing pages that we run ads to.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf (payment processing, hosting, email and SMS delivery, analytics, customer support tooling), with authorities when the law requires it, and in connection with a merger or sale of the business. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Your choices and rights
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Although we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may record an opt-out at any time by emailing [email protected]with the subject “Privacy Request.”
- Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. When your browser sends it, we disable advertising pixels and analytics tracking for your visit.
- Access, correction, deletion. You can update account details in the app. To request a copy of your personal information or its deletion, email [email protected]. We verify requests against your account email before acting on them.
- Marketing email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages about your account and orders continue while you have an account.
6. Data retention
We keep account, billing, and order records for as long as your account is open and for the period afterwards required by tax, accounting, and compliance obligations. Terms-acceptance and scrub-election audit records are retained for the life of the order plus the statutory limitation period. Uploaded files and delivered lists are retained so you can re-download them and are removed on account deletion.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting provider. Access to production systems is limited to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information we will notify you as required by law.
8. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We will post any updates to this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes are also announced by email to account holders.
